Busy week!
Sara traveled a lot this week and while she was gone Emily and I put in a backsplash in the kitchen. Emily picked out the tumbled slate 4" x 4" tiles with 1" x 1" border. We still have to install the trim around the edges, but it's pretty much done. Thanks, HBO, for the Home Depot gift cards that paid for the whole project! Next project- paint those cabinets and put in new switch plates.
The natural imperfections and rough edges of the slate hide most of my mistakes pretty well.

that's right - HBO is responsible for all my Home Depot gift cards too! Paid for an entire kitchen remodel.. :)
